Job Description: Pilates Instructor
Position Summary:
The Pilates Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality Pilates instruction to individuals or groups within a sports and athletics setting. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge and expertise in Pilates exercises and techniques, with the ability to develop and implement safe, effective, and engaging Pilates workouts tailored to the needs and goals of participants.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Pilates classes or individual sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants.
2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Pilates exercises and principles, providing clear and concise instructions to participants.
3. Guide and motivate participants through a variety of Pilates exercises, ensuring proper form, alignment, and breathing techniques.
4. Modify exercises and techniques to accommodate participants' varying fitness levels, abilities, and any physical limitations.
5. Develop customized Pilates workout plans based on participants' goals, fitness assessments, and any specific requirements.
6. Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement to participants, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere during classes or sessions.
7. Monitor and ensure participants' safety throughout the sessions, promptly addressing any concerns or potential injuries.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and developments in the field of Pilates, incorporating new techniques and knowledge into instruction.
9. Maintain a clean and organized Pilates studio area, including the proper storage and maintenance of equipment.
10. Collaborate with other coaches or instructors to coordinate schedules, promote classes, and support the overall success of the sports and athletics program.
11. Attend regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of [X] years of experience as a Pilates instructor, preferably in a sports or athletics setting.
2. Certification in Pilates instruction from a recognized and accredited program.
3. Demonstrated expertise in teaching a variety of Pilates exercises and techniques, with a strong understanding of anatomy and movement principles.

7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish professional relationships with participants and colleagues.
8. Knowledge of injury prevention and safety guidelines related to Pilates instruction.
9. Up-to-date CPR and first aid certification (preferred).
10. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about current trends and research in Pilates.
11. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate participant schedules.
